...troopers will pose as PennDOT employees and use radar guns to catch speeders in work zones.
WTF?!! That sucks.
Next they'll have PennDot employees posing as Troopers to find potholes.....
They have done this quite successful in the past, it pretty effective. PSP using Genesis Handheld Directional guns in the video. Both cops have to show up if you take the ticket to court.
driven I-79 last summer and noted zero enforcement. Even semis were running 85+ (yes, as in tractor trailers).
Not very many places for them to hide and run radar....
what location is this I would love to make traffic do a dead stop.
It's on I-79 in Wexford...about 15 miles north of Pittsburgh.
I think the work zone is the I-79 Bridge Rehab project found on the following page: http://www.dot.state.pa.us/penndot/d...k?OpenFrameSet Click Construction Projects and then scroll down and click Allegheny.
The great thing about half of those "active" work zones in PA is that no one is really working in them. If you slow down to 55, you'll get rear ended.
PA is a speeders paradise.
