The weapon charge stems from having his service weapon with him while intoxicated. It is illegal to carry a weapon while intoxicated.
    As well it should be!

I'm appalled at how different things seem to be in MO from TX. When a Dallas or Fort Worth cop is arrested for DUI, you darn sure don't see a lot of other cops calling for "professional courtesy" or leniency. Here, we want the bad apples out! Just crazy how differently the human mind works north of Arkansas.

It really is crazy. I saw all of the posts on the forum before they were taken down and there was 70 or so and every one of them said the cop should not have arrested the other. They even went on to say that if the arresting cop ever needed backup, it would be really slow even if he was in a dangerous situation. How sad. It really just intimidates the other officers who want to be good into not being that way because they know the criticism they will suffer from their "brothers".
