    Default Move Over Enforcement Blitz

Your RD wont alert you to this trap!

Police to enforce ‘move over’ law this long weekend

    THE CANADIAN PRESS

On top of the usual holiday enforcement campaigns, provincial police will be out in force this Civic long weekend reminding drivers about the “Move Over” law.
The law requires drivers to slow down and proceed with caution when passing an emergency vehicle parked on the side of the highway with its lights activated.
If the highway has more than one lane, motorists are required to move over a lane.
The fine for breaking the “Move Over” law ranges from $400 to $2,000

I love when they move over so I can be on my way.

I don't think you read the actual point here:

It isn't the law that says: Slower traffic keep right (move over law).

It IS the law that says: Traffic move over INTO the left lane, to keep a lane away from emergency vehicles (move over law).

Yup and they'll set a trap for it to with additional cars up the road if you dont get over ... my bet is mostly OPP they will do it on the 407 (toll road) and the 400 and the 401 off rush hour obviously since you have to be able to have space to get over. Theres alot of drivers oblivious to this one and they can write a bunch of tickets if they want.
