I am shocked by the number of comments at the bottom of that article that support these camera's. Sounds like they have done a great job of brainwashing the public over there.
thats the "holier than thou" brigade.
By the time they all get tickets for going 6mph over (vans issue tickets for 9km over) these things will be everywhere
I am not too shocked really. I have seen plenty of this drivel on a few motoring forums over here so it doesn't surprise me any more TBH. The majority (it seems) of people will swallow any kind of BS you throw at them now apparently. I would just love for each of those clowns to get caught by one of them and see how much they love them then...
The head of the AA in Ireland said on the radio today that over 3/4 of people asked in a poll actually support these things. I wonder where does he find these idiots. I highly doubt these figures myself as I have yet to find someone that has the same opinion. It would not surprise me at all if he is just as full of $hit as those that brought them in TBH
.
Either way, 96,000 people X €80 a pop is pushing close to €8million in fines (in just the first half of the year)and they have the nerve to try and convince us that it is not about the money.
Unfortunately, it seems that there are plenty that have fallen for this crap.
+6 MPH over, that's nothing. In the states, going +10 on a highway a LEO doesn't care, unless its crunch time for the quota.
Why don't they just pass a law making it illegal to drive?
Then, anyone driving... pull them over and ticket... Problem solved. We are all guilty of something anyway!
Seriously though... these scamras are lame!
Most everyone in those countries are sheep... ready for the NWO slaughter.
At least one guy made sense:
"I have no problem with 100km on main routes but when the change from 100 to 50 and road conditions the very same well that’s a different story. If you want to drive like a granny and hold up e everyone else at 30 kph that makes you the one that can’t drive!!!"
