How did they get caught? A camera alone is not evidence unless it has footage. Were there any witnesses?

I am not a criminal, but I am just now (a couple years from being 30) learning what it means to shut up! I mean typical stuff at work... like ==> If I open my mount and point out ________, it will stir up the pot of morons to have a debate, an email tug-of war, CC frenzy, and probably a meeting next week I will be invited to attend!!! <== Why point out a problem/solution if it is going to create 10x more work, will cause someone to make committees, etc.

Where I work, and this is only my opinion... what they need to do is lay off half the staff, so the remaining half can make decisions and get the job done without being hampered! They can start with laying off managers by a couple simple rules.:

1.) Nobody should have more than one (1) manager or one boss. <== How is an employee supposed to report to two or more people. They can't even figure out who does the job evaluations of whom!

2.) There should never be more managers than worker bees.

3.) A manager should know a great deal about the jobs of those whom he or she manages. ==> How can someone who knows nothing about: computers, networks, storage be in charge and evaluate those who do?

4.) Just because someone is older and been with us FOREVER does NOT mean they should be transferred to an entirely different area. (i.e. Someone who is 50 from Pharmacology has no business being put in charge of a network of 8,000+ computers. ) <== No wonder NOTHING gets done and when there is a problem people run around flapping their wings like they are chickens with their heads are cut cut off!

Case and point... When I got my job as an IT Administrator of a specific area of a Government agency, I came in with a B.S., MCSE 2003, A+, Net , and Cisco CCNA, and 4 years experience, but I was 24 at the time, so my opinions on everything didn't matter. I continuously went to meetings and listened to people in their 40's - 60's talk about the great things they were going to do, but they almost NEVER figured out how each piece of the puzzle fits together! Case and point: We held meetings for over 2.5 years about migrating from Server 2003 to Server 2008 R2. These were just meetings talking about work we were going to do.

Oh, I later upgraded to the Microsoft MCITP and finished my M.S. degree. Have I gotten any raises??? NO! <== Am I sticking around for $65k??? HELL NO!!!

I had my area 100% done... it spanns 15% of the State I am in, and I did it with absolutely NO help from ANYONE! For the next 1.5 years, at each meeting they would TALK about doing it but NOT actually do it. I think they were scared because they don't know what they are doing and don't want to break things. They did not want to listen to me or help even though I offered. In my opinion, I think they were pissed a 24 year old ran circles around them with 1/3rd the staff of other areas! Suffice it to say, I even wrote a 20 page document on how I did it. Everyone was appreciative, but nobody did it. I guess they will have to do it by 2014 before Microsoft kills support for Server 2003.
