rmless man given speeding ticket
March 25, 2006
PAPAMOA, New Zealand, March 25 (UPI) -- A New Zealand man was given a more than $100 ticket -- not for driving 15 mph over the posted speed limit -- but because he was driving and has no arms.
The BBC reports the 32-year-old man was pulled over near Papamoa Thursday when Senior Constable Brent Gray clocked him going 75 in a 60 mph zone.
He said he was shocked when he came up to the driver's window and saw the armless man.
The driver told Gray he never had a license but has been driving for years using one leg for the pedals and the other to steer.
The man has been told not to drive anymore.
