    Default SWS Transmitter Location

Has anyone ever had a confirmed SWS siting or know of any cities, states, etc. using them?
My new XTR has so many voice alerts for different SWS alerts it's a shame I don't get to use them
I live in Olympia,Wa but I'm curius about any location.

The system never gained much popularity, so alerts will be few and far between. The best evidence is that "Some 200 transmitters are in use in 33 states".

    Default I saw

I picked up a Hoosier Helper truck on I-80/I-94 in NorthWest Indiana back 4 years ago. This was while using my Bel 970 w/ the SWS on. Otherwise, I keep my SWS turned off now. Good luck finding these. Far and few.

Georgia uses them on some HERO units around the metro Atlanta area. My (ex)RX65 would get increasingly strong K band alerts, then would flash the SWS message up on the display. I recall getting "Accident Ahead" or "Emergency Vehicle" and at least one more.

Since Ga Tech had alot to do with developing SWS, it really is no surprise that they'd be in use around here to some extent.
