    Default Active Stealth testers wanted

before it rolls out into retail markets, we are looking for some testers to make sure there are no bugs that I/we've missed.

    here's the requirements:

Need 20 or so folks to do some beta testing on the AS software for a couple of weeks.

They need to be in an area where they have red light cameras, Phoenix, Any of the major CA cities, Albuquerque, Dallas/FW, etc.

They need to have their own PDA or Pocket PC phone (Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE or Windows Mobile 5 - NOT Windows Mobile 5 for smartphone) and a GPS antenna for it.

The people have to be prepared to use the software and drive past cameras, report back on any faults they find and help us retest any software fixes required.

And yes, that means you get a free copy of the final retail software.

I'd be happy to test it for you on my iPaq phone, but I don't think there are any red light cameras near me in FL.

If you're looking for people outside the USA, then I'm game (UK).

I've an Origin b2 GPS which is pretty accurate and which I can compare ActiveStealth to.

The Origin is hooked up to whistler pro radar and laser heads and there is LPP as well . So if you've got an LPP cable I can hook that up too. I'm still a little concerned about the bluetooth ActiveStealth delay on laser warnings, so that would be interesting to see what's what.

Because Windows Mobile 5 for Smartphones is a different platform to Windows Mobile 5 and we wanted to be clear about what the product is for.

Too early. It's the software on it's own that is being released. To give you alerts to speed cameras, red light cameras, etc in the USA and UK.

The SMARTnode is coming later. You need the SMARTnode and a laser jammer interface to receive LPP alerts on your PDA / Pocket PC phone - but it will work with the LPP when the SMARTnode is available.

All testers have been found, so we'll lock this.
