Hi, I am looking to buy a Cheetah Mirror/Radar/Laser Detector.I think is easier to use than Cheetah GPS. Can anyone send some info on the Cheetah mirror/radar like:specifications(K, KA....), safe for VG-1,2 (US, Canada), sellers...Thank you

The cheetah radar detector mirror is no longer sold and the radar detection was not built for the american radar bands, but Europes. So it won't work in the USA

Yeah, cheetah does not have a radar detector for North America of any kind.
it is for the UK, since it doesn't have X and Ka band.

Every seller of cheetah radar detector posted the following (there are sellers out there):

Is anyone having this anti radar and can look into the manual for clarification?

PM sent, but for others reading this, here's the deal on the radar mirror:

that's an old mirror that they don't even make anymore.
i think the typing is wrong, because it was based off the Sentinel remote detector they had which only detects K, Ku and laser.
it will not detect ka or x. i actually tested a sentinel last year at SML, which did not detect x or Ka.
also, here's a link to Cheetahs UK site, showing that they radar mirror no longer is made, and was/is replaced by the GPS mirror.

the GPS mirror can give all the band alerts, but only if connected to a compatible detector.

bottom line, you won't see this "radar" mirror in the U.S., at least not through ANY authorized Cheetah dealer.

Straight from the horses mouth - we do not make this mirror any more and you cannot buy a new one of these radar detectors anywhere.

It was discontinued in January 2007 and no retailers now have stocks left. However some retailers are very slow about updating their websites, other retailers never delete pages because it brings you to their website and you might buy a different product once you get there.

I'm pleased that you want one but trust me - the Cheetah Radar Mirror did not detect KA band so it is completely unsuitable for most of the countries that this board's members are from. It was a specially tuned K band detector designed only for use in the UK. If you do end up buying one second hand somewhere, then don't say that I didn't warn you when you find out that it doesn't do what you want it to do.
