    Default stealth node on/off switch

I just insatlled the LPP with cheetah wireless kit. If I press the off switch on the fob, will the LPP turn off? or do i need to program it? how would i know that it's on or off?

It's "preprogrammed" to that specific STEALTHnode.
just hold it for 1 second, it'll turn off, hold the on button for 1 second, it'll turn it back on.
you can confirm this by popping the hood with the vehicle running and look at the LED on the kit, it'll be on when the kit is on.

Also, on the mini receiver, if you forget to turn the LPP back on, after around 30 seconds or so, the green "link" icon will stay off, showing no connection.

in normal operation that symbol may flash occasionally and disappear for a second or so, but that doesn't affect immediate alerts, in an internal link check.

so basically i have to press it down for a good second. i can also tell if the LPP is off by looking at the receiver inside the car and see if the wireless signal is on or off right?

If you want to practice, I would imagine if you taped a piece of tin foil to your garage wall and sat in the car, you could switch it off and on all day long and get used to the alert sound, green light being off then on etc.

yeah, i always tell everyone for 1 good second. it usually works in about half a second or less, but every once in a while it can miss if I push it extremely quick so with a full second, there's never a problem.

The green light on the receiver may not go off immediately. it can take several seconds or longer even up to 30 seconds, but the alerts will stop right away, and the STEALTHnode turns it off immediately.

Nomad called it, test it with the parking sensors so you get a "feel for it".

even if you held it for 2 or 3 seconds, to "be sure" it doesn't affect the STEALTHnode. same with the on button.

Also, if you get near the STEALTHnode, you can here it "click" inside, and you'll see that the switch is pretty much instant, and the light on the wire loom will go out immediately as well.

Actually i'll add that to my upcoming videos, showing the STEALTHnode in action.
