    Default Navalert Camera reporting

We have recently had some customers contact us regarding missing alerts from their Navalert.

It seems that these users were not aware that in some cases cameras will only alert in the violation monitored direction.

Safe mode and Cam mode will both alert to cameras, however if the camera monitoring direction has been reported and updated into database it will only alert in the direction which the camera monitors.

Before reporting any camera that does not alert, take note of the direction the camera monitors and make sure to travel in that direction for the test.

Default CAM or SAFE Mode? What is best for ALL?

[QUOTE=navalert;415909]We have recently had some customers contact us regarding missing alerts from their Navalert.

    ???
then if the unit will alert to cameras also in the safe mode then why when I traveled though the intersection with it on SAFE the alert NEVER sounded.
When I traveled back though the intersection (same direction) on CAM it DID sound an alert?

So you are telling me that the safe mode WILL pick up fixed red light camera locations along with ADDITIONAL POI/Safe points?

YES. Try it again in both modes in the same direction.

Is there a place where we can report camera's to your database? Or better yet, is there a way customers can view the database
in your area to see where cameras are?

Navalert has a camera reporting section on there site Navalert.com when you go to the website on the left hand side under HELP you will see the first link saying Contact US..... From there it's self explanatory.

I've asked them in the past for a California database location of cameras, they can only give you MAP views of your ZIPCODE, I don't know if they changed that yet however heres another site i use to look-UP Cameras for every state/city its pritty cool.

    PhantomAlert.com: No More Speeding Tickets
(I think this one is one of the best sites I use. It gives you MAP views for RLC and SC, PIO downloads and ALSO RECENTLY ADDED CAMERAS and they seem to be UP-TO-DATE)
