Cheetah Mirror and V1 Concealed Display Problems

Hi I Recently installed the Cheetah Mirror and V1 interface with the adapter. Everything is working however, the mute button on the V1 concealed display does not mute the audio on the Cheetah Mirror. Is it supposed to? Also, the automute settings on the V1 don't stop the Cheetah from alerting. Is it supposed to? Its very annoying to not have the ability to mute the Cheetah Mirror. Only control I have is the speed mute

No, Valentine did not design their concealed display to control our mirror.

No, again Valentine did not design their settings to do that. But the mirror can only relay what the V1 is doing so if the V1 is alertign the mirror will follow. If the V1 doesn't alert, neither will the mirror.

You have three ways.
1. The Alert Speed setting, set your chosen MPH on the mirror and the alerts are automatically not relayed below that.
2. Button 4 will toggle between voice alerts only from the mirror or voice plus tones. During an alert you have to press it a little longer to swap the setting over.
3. there's always the good old fashioned volume control that's right next to the button 4 for easy access. It's very quick at shutting things up when required.

I'm finding that the city mute function works great when the V1 is getting medium to strong signals. Weak signals...not so much.

Thanks for the suggestions. Atleast my unit is installed properly -- I thought the installer messed up. What does the city mute actually do?

City mute off: Voice plus ramp up tones.
City mute on: Voice and then a tone when the alert is gone.

Why couldn't cheetah just add a mute button on the mirror? Not being able to mute is the only fault I can pick with the unit at this point. I may be removing the V1 interface soon.
