I don't have a front license plate. I know most of the time laser is done from the front just wondered if putting a cover on the back plate would buy me some time in case I did get laser from the rear.
There was something on here awhile ago about scuffed plates reducing the effectivness of lidar. Don't know how true this Is. Anyone tried It?
No. Plate covers and Veil do not jam. They only help a jammer. Alone, they are nothing.[/QUOTE]
I know veil will not jam.
So veil will not slow down detection at all?
Their video says yes and in some cases the laser could not get a lock.
Am I missing something here?

Doesn't matter. Your plate is only one square foot of the surface area of your car. Laser can and will reflect off of the rest of the car. Laser works at the speed of light. If you slow it down by 99 percent, it's still less than a second.
Correct. But that is strictly hypothetical since reducing laser reflection doesn't "slow down" anything. It only reduces the distance at which it can occur. And at the relatively short distances that police engage you at, it simply does not make a difference.
We want to make that distance as short as possible.![]()
