This unit needs and deserves it's own thread. It's set to be released on September 14, 2009 and retails for $99 USD. You can pre-order it now (as I did).

The C50 is intelligent. It only alerts you when you need to now about an approaching hazard. Camera alerts are directional, which is huge benefit in cities with a number of cameras. The C50 only alerts to cameras that are a threat in your direction of travel. This means fewer false alarms than "radius alerting" devices (GPS, radar detectors, competitor products). You won't be annoyed by false alarms for cameras on the other side of the freeway!

Camera alerts are also spoken voice alerts, so you know instantly what type of hazard you are nearing. Much better than other products which just beep at you!

The revolutionary C50 uses Trinity 2.0 enhanced alerts to give you more detailed information than any other detector. Competitor devices can only manage 6 or 7 alerts, the C50 gives you 65.

I like how it tells you if a RLC has the speed on green feature. Wish the 9500ix would let you know that info.

Nice. Going to get the wife one of these. I have a C100, but she doesn't need all the bells and whistles (RD interface) that the C100 provides. For 100+30$ for 3 years of updates, it's a good value proposition against a 180$ ticket.

Sorry no. C50 is a completely redisgned product. C100 and GPSmirror are on a different platform.
