    Default Cheetah Customer Service

wow what a ridiculously awesome experience.

i have not been happy with the way my mirror has been interfacing with my Bel STI. On low strength, single bar alerts, the mirror would seem to interpret each tone as a separate threat and keep cycling. I also missed my Bel's auto mute.

I have a V1 in my wife's car, which is not hardwired since her precious vehicle is still under warranty she "doesn't want me touching ANYTHING" on it. consequently, the V1 hardly got used, but on the occasions we did... I have got to say, I don't know how the V1 zombies stand it. The arrows are great yes, but outside of that, it's just about the most irritating thing ever. I'd rather get the ticket and have some peace and quiet.

Well long story short, I had the brilliant idea of switching detectors and using the Cheetah to SHUT UP the V1, and wifey can have the STI, with the awesome automute and better filtering.

I contacted Cheetah to purchase the software card for the RDI, and the V1 module for a remote mute button i rigged up (maybe remote display a little later). They just sent them over. No charge, no shipping charge, nothing. Talk about a huge return on my initial investment. It's just unheard of. If that's not making sure a customer's happy, I don't know what is.

Thank you, Cheetah Team. You guys rock!

Yeah. I must say I too have nothing but praise for the Cheetah retailers. Not sure who you worked with but I buy my Cheetah stuff from Don @ Cheetah USA out in Arizona. Not sure how I found him.

I bought the Cheetah modified Laser Jammer for my truck and my bike from him. On several occasions, I needed some install help and he was right on it, walking me through the processes, to figure out what was wrong.

Then, I had a component of my Viz Alert fail and he replaced it, no questions asked.

I would never buy those products from anyone but him. He believes in what he sells and backs it up!

Regarding the V1 and the chattiness... you can make some adjustments that will minimize/mute some of the more irritating sounds ( x band in my area ), but to me, I like the interaction. If it there were a detector that would ONLY alert a CONFIRMED bogey... we'd ALL own it.

great comments. I am looking to get their wireless kit. I am new and can't believe all these great products made for people without car or electrical know how. I love that you don't have to drill, cut or wire much of anything. The least destructive things I do to my car the better especially since it is only 5 months old.

Ive gotten 3 C50s from Don Norton and he is the man!!!! Also he accidentally over charged me for shipping (I didnt even notice it - $5) and a month later credited my card and apologized? I jokingly gave him crap and demanded a discount on my next order and he came through! He replies back quick on the e-mails.

    His address is: salesATcheetahusaDOTcom

I totally agree with you here.

However,if you put rear sensors you will have to get to the engine wall to connect with the cpu in the engine bay.Not a big problem though.

True, but if you look hard enough you can, as I did, find an opening. I didn't have to cut any holes.

Thanks a million to Don and Al for their dedication in catering the needs of their customers. This is just a good example that profit is set aside and customer service is of utmost importance. My wifey's C50 was not alerting our local RLC and the Cheetah group made it happen.

I've got to chime in here as well. I've dealt with Al and Don, and they have bent over backwards to be a help solving problems -- generous with their time going back and forth again and again, and on a weekend no less! When that only went so far, no hesitation to send out a new part right away, and follow up to help get things right! Problem solved, no problem.

And if that isn't enough to convince you these guys are on the ball with their personal customer service, well, just wait till you contact them for something a year from now, and they make reference to something you posted!

Their service really is quite exceptional.

Oh, and I continue to be delighted with my Cheetah gear.

    Highly recommended.

Yeah..sometimes you will find holes already there..
