Default Wtf is going on? (Trapster issue)

I haven't used Trapster since making my switch from Internet Explorer to Firefox. I have a trip to make tomorrow, and decided to update my GPS with the Trapster stuff. Every time that I go to download the file with the enforcement points, Firefox goes crazy and won't let me do anything. It continuously opens up new tabs on Firefox, to the point of me not even being able to close Firefox. It has done this all three times that I have tried downloading the file. It never did this with explorer; what can I do to resolve this issue?

I run Firefox 4 on Ubuntu Linux and haven't had this issue. Did you try clearing your web cache?

No, I didn't, but I will try that now. I just don't understand why it would be doing that at all. I've downloaded many things with Firefox and never had any issues.

When Trapster asks which program I would like to use to open the file with the traps, which program should I choose?

I would just save it instead of opening it. It's a zip file, which Windows can open natively. You can also use your choice of programs like Winzip, Winrar, or a bunch of others if you prefer. The process for installing seems to depend on your GPS though. In my case, I have a TomTom. I actually just copy the POI files directly to the GPS (in the appropriate directory) as if it were any external hard disk.
