Heck I have gotten emails about firmaware updates etc and nothing works. I have turned off smart screeen filter, norton antispam antivirus smart firewall intrustion protection and I still get a warning that the firmware is unsafe and I cant get working Cheetah software tool to work. My serial number is 500001 and that serial number isnt even listed.

I never could get the driver and software loaded- something popped up each time and said the files were harmful and there was no option to over ride either cancel or delete. Stuart was most helpful in all the links he sent me- the only thing different this time is that on this computer I have internet explorer 9 and on the other computer where everything worked fine I had explorer 8. I have smart screen filter off.

Stuart said to ship it back to Gilbert, AZ which is being done today and there is a firmware update already and he said soon there would be a software update as well.
Right now I can't get my Cheetah software tool to connect to the C50 and on the C50 screen it shows error: Er02 which I cant get rid of.

If none of that works- I am going to toss it out.

I know this was posted on beltronics but it is the very same issue I am having with the Cheetah C50 software- the very same thing:
Launched detector tools 1.3 yesterday to update my ... Detector tools software informs me that an update is available for me to download. I allow detector tools to download and apply the update automatically. The software shuts down and relaunches presumably with the new update. The detector tools program takes a long time to load but before the program can fully load up Norton Security Suite informs me that the program detector tools.exe has been quarantined and deleted for behaving in a suspicious manner.

Anyone else experience this? If I uninstall the program and run the program without the update, everything loads up fine without an issue, but soon as I allow the program to update itself, Norton once again recognizes the detector tools.exe file as a suspicious file during startup and deletes it.

    What gives?

I am fully aware this is a double post but this effects people on both forums who may otherwise not read both. Knowing this please feel free to delete one or both of them- thanks.
Just trying to help out fellow members here with the same problem with different products.
I have always had Norton Internet Security including 2011 which I am using now and both Beltronics Detector tools and Cheetah speed camera software worked just fine.
