That looks pretty much like the one i got a few months ago but mine lacked the reg plate picture cos i was done by a mobile trap. i wonder if the gatso van takes a similar pic of the plate like the buddy i was telling you about.

Correct the Gatso Van will enclose the photo (LTI Lasercam (Marksman) or Dificam (Ultralyte))

    Irish Garda Hard at it.

i really wish they would go back to using radar . it was so much simpler then.

ive read here that a laser based camera will not take a pic until it gets your speed. just hope it wont take one of you jamming it. these were automated though. are the gatso vans here manned or auto?

Are you boys ready for the privatisation nonsense next year? Looks like the Dublin clampers are going to get the speed cam contract

Contract should be awarded before Christmas and the first 100 of the supposed 600 speed cameras should be up by end of march.

We're not going to know what type of cameras are going in until the winning vendors are announced but I believe the favourites at the moment propose to use a radar-based camera system

This one's even better  and it can't be seen by the gards.

This is for K band cameras only so it is only really useful for the UK, Ireland, France, Greece and Morocco - it is not suitable for anywhere else!

This product is not sold in the USA. Sorry

how much are these things cos there are new V1s on ebay for 350 euros. one of them would be my choice at the mo due to the arrows. also it has very good laser detection which is needed here too.

Prices are on the website. You can change to Euros at the top right hand side of the website.

Re laser detection - I wouldn't rely on it myself

Given the nature of the roads in Ireland and the tactics that the gards use, detecting laser usually just means that you've just been caught. Take a read of this page for more details.

You're better advised to use a jammer alongside your detector because the jammer will at least give you time to slow down.

You can't detect laser round corners
