    Default Stealthing Your Plate

I don't know much about photo enforcement, so I'm assuming a picture of your license plate is used to "identify" you.

I think most camera systems are sensitive to near IR. Seems like you could put enought high luminus intensity IR LEDs aound your license plate to effectively overexpose any attempt to photograph your plate. Maybe gut an old ZR3 laser jammer, or simply buy enough IR LEDs from Radio shack. No need to try and detect or emit any special jamming sequence. Just leave the IR LEDs on all the time when your car is running.

    Any feedback on this idea?

May have a shot at night, I think it would be very hard during the day.

Well I've ordered some parts that I think have a chance to get the job done. I build a proto and will see how it does. If it looks good I'll need to get some real testing done. If it doesn't look good, a least I'll have a very good IR illuminator for my camera.

Interesting, thanks...Well I'm months behind then. If my simple low cost method, works, I'd rather not pursue patents. Frankly some trade secrets are better than patents. for now its just a concept and I'd rather not productize it. It would best be served in the enthusuast community vs a product that will undoubtedly get banned. If my concept works that is....If it doesn't the computerpro's approach and its associated challenges is the path. If thats the case, it requires more money to develop that I'd be ready to front. But I have some ideas to solve some of the issues he's encountering.

IR led's will not work during the day. Even an array of multiple 3w overdriven IR led's that are so bright they will burn your eye's cornea if you look directly at them. Even at night they will only work on certain cameras.

If you have ideas feel free to PM me.
