I remember years ago in a uk car magazine and they interviewed a police officer about speed detection and he said we aim the laser straight between the drivers eyes.

Well unimpressed about this comment...

In Oz, The police with lasers have been standing next to a tree and only aimed when the car is quite close so that they get a good reflection back nomatter where they aim on the car
