Snooper Evolution or S5 R

I have just bought the snooper evolution mainly for the laser feature as I have a TomTom with all the fixed cameras locations..I am now debating whether to exchange the evolution for the S5 R as I ideally want a unit for picking up mobile positions such as Safety Camera Vans etc

any ideas or recommendations within the £150 range or am I best with the evolution :?: First post so please be gentle!!

the safety camera vans use the lti 20 20 laser, all snoopers wont detect the camera vans even when they are firing at you!!

despite what snooper say they offer zero protection against laser!

the only laser detector which works and can offer an advanced warning is the valentine 1, my advice is get one from ebay either a new one or a good 2nd hand or unused one....

save your money and buy a v1 or next best thing would be a bel euro 550 but if laser is the thing to detect then get the v1!

Yeah the S5-R is a piece of crap, but is the other Snooper a crap too?

best option is either a V1 or Bel 550

I have owned both (currently running the V1)

your best with a radar detector these days.

I was travelling back from Pendlebury last week and I had a run in with a K band radar, a snooper evo ain't going to pick that up.

That’s my thoughts s70rmp but I have been put off by the comments on the S5 R that was within my price range as I would be swapping the evolution and I am all new to this ops:

Bel 550's go for small money on ebay !

I'm after one as a backup to tthe V1.

I've been jump tot he Lakes and have encountered some radar up there.

I take it your from manchester, It would appear that GMP are using more and more radar due to the fact that people are using more and more sat nav/gps dectectors that don't pick up radar.
