    Default If.....

The V1 is as good as you guys say, why isn't it fully un-detectable like Bel's new STi Driver
Will Mr Valentine include this in later V1 up-grades

Detector range/sensitivity and undetectability are two totally different things. Most of us don't give a crap if it can be detected from a mile away with a VG2, so it's the best for us.

I happen to agree with Valentine's thinking on this, and I'm sure many others (especially V1 owners) agree. Why clutter up a device with things you don't need. Since DC and VA are the only areas that outlaw RDs I don't see the point. When I do happen to drive through VA (very seldom and I only drive through about a 12 mile stretch of it when I do) I just stick the RD in my glove box and stay within 10 MPH of the PSL. This strategy has kept me ticket free for 10s of thousands of miles through more states than I care to imagine.

Also it would most probably make the unit a lot more expensive that what it is now.

DC and Va are the only places in the United States that outlaw RD's.

    Default Mmmmmm :)

I'm thinking about buying one to use along side my STi for back up 8)
I'm seeing a lot of Lidar around and i'm a little worried. Like, don't get me wrong, it wasn't a full hit but i got a sure slash the other day, with no warning at all ops:

If LIDAR is a big problem in your area, I'd reccomend investing in a jammer rather than a V1. You've gotta be pretty lucky to get any advanced warning (see laser scatter) with any detector.

I talked to a tech at VR yesterday and he said they are working on Spectre immunity. They want to do it in a way that won't compromise radar sensitivity, so it will take longer to do. He told me that in their testing, the RX65 outperformed the STi.

The use for a Sceptre immune RD's is not limited to VA and DC. It is also useful for commercial vehicles in all 50 states. In addition quite a few countries outside the USA have laws against RD's so in these places and STI is useful. For some reason Valentine doesn't sell outside the USA and has chosen to ignore the commercial trucking market. His business his choice.
