no i did no notice anyone that had a detector.... but some moron continued to blow by me at 77 in a 65 and looks right at me and im thinking. why would anyone in there right mind go by at 12 over. but i did see a lot of rd users driving around i had fun with one guy as we were just driving i aimed the stalker at his detector threw the glass just shot it. he was at a stop light and he was getting something off the ground. the moment i pull the trigger he shoots up looking around and sees me ( 18 year old "kid") shooting laser at him threw the passenger seat as we pass by him. i thought it was quite funny and my officer got a good laugh out of it.
I highly recommend eveyone that can, do a ride along. Very informative. People will realize that the revenue aspect is what the politicians want. Most cops on the street, who do like to work traffic, do it to find bad guys. Bad guys I mean people with warrants and such (oh, I know that some warrents are issued due to traffic violations). I'm talking about serious crimes. They also find and interdict a lot of illegal narcotics that way too.
The Constable who patrols my street doesn't care to work traffic. It's not his thing. Also, it's very interesting to see RADAR in action from an RD user aspect. It can be just plain fun!
