    Default So...is this true?

I was told that if you recently buy an Escort or Valentine and your under the 30 return policy, you can claim that the detector had poor range then they will take it back and return it to you with super detection,is this true?

I bought my Solo S2 last July '05, from a BestBuy store in Billings, MT... on my way to Port Huron, MI-Sarnia, Ontario border I exchanged it TWICE, of course in two different BB stores, one in Minnesotta another in Michigan close to Detroit, each case I was asked "what seems to be the problem?", I just said something about no alerts, and right away I got another one, brand-new, in exchange... both exchanges were done within 10 days from the original purchase and, of course, I was asked to present the original receipt... the last one I got from the BB near Detroit is still the one I've been using all the time...

I dont think they will send you a "juiced" unit. They would most likley send you a new unit and test the one you send in. You could try it but I think they only send "juiced" units to certain testers, and important people who speak out about their product.

I dont think theres such thing as a juiced unit, it either works or it doesnt, there may be slight performance variations in all units..

but a detector can only detect whats in the air, and with it being so sensitive it will detect the slightest amount of scatter.

if your buying a v1 or excort your buying the most sensitive detector you can buy.

if detectors were any more sensitve they'd false all the time, you can live with the falsing if it saves you from some low scattering traps.

my advice it to try them both out and keep the one which you prefer. you may find the v1 is better than the escort or visa versa.........

try them both out on road traps and see which one gives more warning.

obviously run them 1 at a time..

Before i sent by RX65 in for repair it performed much better then any other RD i had ever seen even other RX65, but now that i got it back from Bel it seems to be much less sensative. I wish i could get it back to the way it used ot be. Is it possible to tell this to bel and maybe they would send me another unit???[/b]

Right, juicing a RD is not really making sense to me, I mean it's a RECIEVER, not an active scanner, so really it recieves or it doesnt

as for other things on this forum that could be juiced with relative ease, Laser Jammers, and thats about it
