Default Best place to mount Sti?

I just got my Sti the other day from Beltronics and was wondering whats the best place to mount it I can't mount it where its totally visible since I travel in and out of Va all the time. Also anyone living in Va would you know the most common frequency used by Vsp. Thanks in advance for the help

HIGH and BEHIND the tint strip, it must be stealth if youve got the STI

Agreed and agreed. The best defense against laser, aside from Veil, LaserShield, and/or jammer is looking for people ahead hitting their brake lights or spotting the LEO before he spots you.

If your car has a factory tint stip, it likely won't have any effect on radar reception. At least my testing and I think a few others on here have found that to be the conclusion regarding a typical factory tint strip. Aftermarket is a different story.

And how is Virginia's RD law enforced with out-of-staters? If they don't have it on, is it ok? I'd rather not have to pull over just to take it down once in Virginia. I have no problem w/just turning it off and driving unprotected (especially since I'll only be traveling for a short period of time in Virginia.

Alright so mounting it high on your windshield would be the way to go also say if you use a laser jammer like Blinder or something of that nature and you happen to be in Va can the leo tell your car is equipped with a laser jammer or you can just get the laser alert know your being lasered and after slowing down immediately turn the unit off. So this way the Leo gets the reading when you slow down and are in the speed limit.

Well my car doesn't have any tints on it so where exactly would the tintstrip be located on the windshield?

You definitely need to hardwire it for true stealth. Mount it high and covered by the rearview mirror as best you can.
