Wasn't the system by AntiLaser going to be tested as well?
AntiLaser was tested by SML earlier but unfortunately it didn't jam some of the american guns...hopefully the product has been improved by now.

Darn i was hoping to see the mimic get tested....more jammers means that jamming company's will have to step up their product

You know what I love about the AntiLaser company? They are very honest! Who else would post a terrible SML rating on their website? It just goes to show that AntiLaser will keep on improving the jammer instead of going the other route to improve their marketing like other companies.

I bet AntiLaser will be one of the best laser jammers on the market when the new model jammer comes out. I hope Roy will carry this product when it hits the USA.

Default SML2005 pretends photo radar does not exist, AGAIN

With PHOTO RADAR being the hot item being rolled out everywhere (probably due to the nice revenue stream they provide to the authorities), I am suprised photo radar will, YET AGAIN, be totally ignored as if it doesn't exist by SML.

I mean, SML (or more specifically, Carl Fors) boasts about being an international man and international company, so I was suprised when he completely and utterly pretended photo radars did not exist in SML 2004. But NOW that they are being rolled out across the USA and are becoming the most rolled out law enforcement item virtually everywhere around the world, including Europe, Asia, and now the USA, why is he still pretending to be blind to Photo Radar?

Is it, perhaps, because Carl Fors is on the take, and KNOWS that the majority of current crop of radar detectors perform VERY POORLY against photo radar, so he refuses to test radar detectors against photo radar, just to pander to the interests of the paying radar detector companies?

Or is there some hidden agenda as to why Carl Fors refuses to test photo radar?

A photo radar test in the desert wouldn't be accurate at all because their is nothing for the radar beams to bounce off of, as they normally would in the city. The results would be awful for the detector companies.

I agree that they should test photo radar, BUT it's also been proven to be easily defeated in court. I wouldn't worry about it to much.

    Default Anti Laser

Anti Laser had said that they were coming out a few months ago, but I had not heard anything more from them.

    Hope they attend..

They have indeed been committed to improving their product..

I dont know where you live, but pretty much all of Europe, Asia, and in increasing number of places in the USA, they are legal and proven to be accurate.

I am not sure about the accuraccy issues, but I'm sure someone could fill you in on that if there are any. I live in Wisconsin and all photo radar are illegal here. The reason being is because they are giving the ticket to the person who the car is registered to NOT the actual person speeding.

Well in Hong Kong, what they do is, the send a letter to the car owner, asking them who was driving in the car at the time. If you do not answer, they assume it is the owner. Otherwise, you send the letter back, telling them who it is.

Camera enforcement was soundly defeated in Indiana this year. It is on the verge of being outlawed in Ohio. It is also facing trouble in Texas. VA is discontinuing their program after 10 years.

Also keep in mind a lot of speed cameras use induction loops buried in the pavement. There is nothing to detect. When traffic cameras are being proposed in your state, you need to write your legislators to oppose them, if enough people write they will listen.
