alright thanks everyone, i have been reading on these detectors and i just didnt know wat is common in my area as far as X, K and Ka.. im about 5 mins from Boston, i travel to maine almost weekly for friends and recreation, and money isnt any issue. i like the bel, but lately ive been seeing alot of v1 in the Car and Driver magazines as ads. i guess they pay for the ticket if you get pulled over?- maybe i read it wrong i was just scanning fast
K,Ka and laser, pacing are widely used in Massachusetts, and possible VASCAR.Originally Posted by pa'spassat
i have a Beltronics Vector Si.. this weekend i drove to maine, and i passed two cops there and it worked fine (NH state troopers) coming home i passed one cop and he was on the side of the road with a lidar, laser (i dnt know which) and it didnt work he was a Mass state trooper
Valentine does not have a ticket rebate program that I am aware of.Originally Posted by pa'spassat
the only company I know that does that is RMR (Rocky mountain Radar)
And they have the worst performance of any unit!!! it is all a scam
Do not even think of using an RMR product. Their ad's sound great, but every published test of those units states they do not work!!!
Stay away,
if you do alot of "open road" driving and like to know what direction the cop is from you, take a look at the Valentine. if you find the need to know frequencies of the radar the cops are using, look elsewhere like in the bel/escort line.
Beltronics Vector Si what are ur comments on this radar?
