Default Can I make a Corded Radar Detector Cordless?

Is it possible to make a corded radar detector cordless? What do I need to do to make it possible?(Like by hoooking up some wires to batteries) Can it damage the radar detector in any way?

Note I only need to use it cordless for a 1/2 hour at a time. I have a little motor scooter and I am not really supose to be on the street with it

So why would you want an RD on a scooter?

Remember an RD detects radar signals, it is not a "police Detector" so if you are riding it illegally you are busted when they see you.

everything you could possibly drive on the road that has an engine, should have a voltage generating system that could be tapped to run an RD.

I have one mounted on my snowmobile!!! becuase they encated a night time speed limit by me that I do not plan on adhering to!

Two 6v lantern batteries in series. Not the most elegant solution but then neither is using an RD on a scooter.

A hamster running on a wheel is usually good for a half hour...

lol but like others said, if they see you riding it your gonna get busted, and their not always using their radar guns so you wont necessarily know where they are..
