Is it because of being a low powered radar gun? Because I ran into a Ka alert from a 1 mi. away with little bleeps of radar til I found a leo using instant on which i had plenty of time to slow down.

oh man my local cops use this gun every where and yes it hard at times for my .826 v1 to pick it up 1 mile to 1.6 mile at the most but that is rare on the 1.6 mile it's allways like .8 mile to 1 mile the v1 has hard time to detect this gun from 360 drgee angl from where the cop is as.Originally Posted by Audi Quattro

i go is just not enough for me
no detector is gonna help ya if you need 1 mile to slow down to the PSL.. That means ur driving to fast and making it hazardous

the best on this frequency according to GOL is the X50............. and if youre going fast enough that almost 3/4 mile is too LITTLE warning time, you need to seriously slow down a bit man

oh ya on my longest range on ka where i postted 2.8 mile this was not on the 35.5freq Talon KA radar gun this was on stalker dual freq which i dont no the freq but as i know the v1 sniff's out the stalker radar like up to 3 miles easy :shock:
Stalker Ka guns (ATR, DSR, Dual, etc) = 34.7GHz
ive picked off Stalkers anyywhere from 1-4 miles, depending on conditions
