Default Would anyone else here like this option on their RD?

I would love to see Belscort and/or VR make it so that their rd can have say 3 diff memory settings (just like the drivers seat of cars). you see, i turned X band on my V1 back on because i was out in N Ga the other day, i passed a cop doing appx 65 in a 55, i see him slam on his brakes, turn around and come after me (luckily my destination was right there and i pulled into it and he didnt see me, but otherwise i wouldve most likely have gotten a ticket). so either 1. he had X band or 2. he visually estimated me speeding and was gunna give me a bs ticket. now, i dont mind having X band on out in the country, but i also do a good bit of driving in the city, where X band drives me nuts, and i know they dont use it in the city. so i think it would be awesome if there were diff memory settings for the RD's. like say setting 1 for my V1 is all bands on, and in A mode. setting 2 is X-band off, K-band 30-second mute, and in little L mode, etc etc. to me, that would be awesome 8)

Yes, I would just make the filtering settings programmable (eg City modes).

Unfortunately the closest thing is on the RX65, the option of a "City NO X" mode. X is completely off when in city, comes back in auto or highway.

V1 really does need to implement something like you're describing on the V1, but they're so freaking stubborn it'll never happen if it requires a second button....

and even then its easy enough for me to switch X-band on while still moving, all I haved to do is count beeps and keep my eys on the road, i normally only have 1 hand on the wheel anyways so nothing changes............ V1 is too difficult to re-program on the go IMO

but to answer your question, NO, thats just one more thing for me to forget to change around

I just wish the rx65 had a low K band, no K band option along with the X band.

I would love to see this.

I don't think that the programming of the v1 is hard so thats how I usually do it - but hitting 1 button vs having to go thru programming evrytime would be fantastic!

With the V1 X band is the first option so you dont have to cycle through all those menus to get to band mod. Now it would be nice to have what A-Town said, but I seriously think VR wont do it, and the EZ program of the Escorts is very simple so I doubt any of the companys will do something like that.
