I live in New Jeresey what detector has the best x band dete

I am in nj and am wondering what would be the best for my radar conditions?
I belive our cops use x-band primarly

honestly man i dont think you even need a top 3 for X band. you could probally get a Bel Vector 940 or 955 and those should give you enough time on X to slow down. just my opinion

speaks the truth, but if you are going with a top3. i love my x50, i guess im biased because its the only one ive ever owned. but really you cant go wrong with any of the to p3

Alternately:
In X-Band the Bel 940/960/985 detectors are better than X-50s and the v6.1 RX-65. I suspect the original 8500 performs the same as the 985 vintage BELs.

Note that New Jersey has everything: The troopers use MHP K-55 X-Band units in the marked cars and Ka units in the unmarked cars. On nice days, laser is common on the interstates.

Local rollers

use X-Band, K-Band and Ka.

You need the X-Band sensitivity in NJ. For a great description, refer to the Veil Guy's test:

Fortunately, NJSTs are not likely to misidentify a vehicle as most case law originated in NJ and troopers like big fish.

If billgerr is right then it looks like you need to worry more about laser (lidar) more then x-band. x-band is easy to detect so just about any rd you buy will protect you from it nicely. You might want to work on better detection for the harder to detect bands.

the V1 has always been known for the best X band. atleast that is what i have heard.

laser/xband...v1 is the best at both hands down

X Band is used mostly by your State Troopers, and of course Lidar.

Local forces in NJ use a lot of Ka and K band, very little X.

I would suggest a good RD (with all bands turned on) and a jammer............. :wink:

V1 is MUCH better on X and LIDAR than any other detector. However, LIDAR detection isn't worth much without Veil or a jammer. It would be hard to justify the cost of a V1 if X band is your primary concern though.
