My brand new Bel V995 was stolen today!

Well it happened, the 995 is gone. I was at work w/ the rd zipped up in it's case inside my zipped up backpack. I went inside work to fill my water bottle, came back to the truck and noticed once I unzipped the backpack that my rd was gone :x. It sucks that someone would go thru my personal belongings to get at my Bel. I guess someone has been watching me. Now I know to bring my backpack into work w/ me while waiting for my next load. The truck gets shut off sometimes and other times it is left running. Warning to rd users out there, conseal your rd. I only had a couple of days of testing out of that brand new rd :cry:.

Yeah, someone knew that thing was in there.

Is it possible a supervisor or manager saw it and is taking it to the company to show you were driving a commercial vehicle with a detector? Anyone who has a bone to pick with you?

Yes, agree. 'They' must have known something, so the 'soon to be punching bag' may be closer then you think. A friend of a friend perhaps :shock: Suspect the last person and go forward from there. Usually they are dumb as dog ****e and i bet 'they' would most likely try and sell it within your work circle or use it in a vehical they own. Keep an eye out anyway. Do you have serial #'s and all?

Yes I have the serial #'s. I doubt the whole company thing. I know one of the drivers has a Cobra in his pickup truck and he might have gotten tired of that lower end unit? It all happened so fast guys, I know my trust is all gone now! And radarRick, I will keep my eye out on what rd is in who's vehicle. Maybe in the morning, I will check all of the vehicles in the parking lot to see if any of them have my 995. Thx guys for all of the replys.

this is making me rethink how i always just leave my x50 clipped up on the visor. i guess i trust ppl to much. no matter where i go(to an extent) i just leave it up. the only time i take it down and lock it up etc is for valet, parking at sporting events and things like that.

I take my Whistler off and toss it in a hidden compartment in my car. NO CHANCES.

i guess i figure since its up on the visor ppl wont notics it as much as if it were somewhere on the windshield.
