    Default Mounting Question

EDIT: Does it matter if you mount your detector to the right or left of the RVM? The reason I am asking this is because I want to mount my detector up high but the RVM is in the way. Also, should the detector be perpendicular to the windshield (this would mean that it is aimed up towards the sky at a slight angle)? Or should the detector be aimed dead straight ahead (in other words, parallel with the ground)?

That's were mine is. Mounting high gives better radar detection but slightly reduces laser detection. If you have the V1 it is good to mount high for laser otherwise it will false to much. I really wouldn't worry about laser detection tho normaly it is picked up way to late. So i would say up hi is where it's at. I would harwire it up there so you can get rid of that hanging wire.

What about mounting high and all the way to the right, just in front of the driver (ours is right-hand drive)?
This way my RD is concealed from visual detection as its illegal to have an RD in my country.

So to in OZ. I try and mount my Sti high near the RV mirror at night and low drivers (right hand) side in the day for stealth.

left or right of your rwm is like 6 inch difference in where it is. As long as nothing is in the way mounting ANYWHERE on your front window should work and hardly change the detection distance but by fractions of a second. Mounting 6 in farther left or right shouldn't change anything at all.

As far as to pointing to the sky or level with the ground...well, you want it to be level with the ground, not much use if you point it to the sky
