Default Radar Questions - new user

How much are laser jammers and what do they look like? is there actual laser jammers in the escort passport x50 model? or do u have to buy it separate? and does turning off certain radar modes improve your radar detector? cuz i noticed that people have x band off when they post their radar models and modes...

    pricing and photos here: http://www.radarbusters.com/products...rs/default.asp

    x50 laser receiver, no jammer.

disabling modes will improve detection times on other bands.

x is obsolete in many area, disabling it will reduce falses and non-police radar alerts, and will improve detection time on other bands.

crap radars like my RMR 315 dont have the option, so if your radar was a cheap one then im guessing it cant be disabled.

a word of warning NEVER BUY ANYTHING with Rock Mountain or RMR on it the radars are crap and the supposed jammers dont even jam

If you really want protection, get rid of the cobra and get a bell, escort, V1 or even a whistler.

Your priorities are reversed, I'd concentrate on not getting a 300 dollar ticket then to have loud boom...... Besides people that boom get laughed at. Sorry but thats just the facts, it doesn't look cool. People end up pointing and saying who's this idiot..... Just trying to help ya out... Maybe I'm just old now but I'm sure you understand. I would ditch the subs and get yourself a higher end detector like a Bel, V1, or Escort. I've had mine for almost 3 years and have NEVER got a ticket.

Subs definitely come first. Im gonna put 2 12''w3's in my car, which will cost about $2000. And where i come from, subs look cool. People dont notice u when u roll in with radar, they notice when u roll in with subs. Plus, i dont just buy subs for others to know i have them, i also love the way it sounds when they hit low beats.!!
