What if I had a V1, 8500 & RX65 mounted in my vehicle ran them all at the same time but for the V1 I only ran Laser on the 8500 I ran K & on the RX65 I ran KA what would be the result?

theres a guy from NZ i think with a V1 set to laser and a X50 to Ka.
I believe the techys will tell you the RF from the different detectors will disturb each other thereby reducing their sensitivity overall
I wonder if that is only caused by running the same bands, though...?Originally Posted by spankyaf
It will cause interference. Not a good idea. We need the professor in here.

Well the current theory, or at least what jim says, is that when you shut the band off it is just supressing the results. It's not actually shutting off the oscillators. Therefore, they will still interfere with each other. The exception is laser.
Can you even shut off bands with the V1? I thought you can only shut off X.
I think what someone should do is get an X50 or RX65 and shut off ALL the bands. Then see if it's detecable by SPECTRE3. If it cannot be detected, perhaps the oscillators are truly getting shut off.
PS. On the X50, perhaps there is a difference between NoX city mode and turning the band off in BAND MOD.
You can shut any or all off on the v1.
I dunno about the whole - it just suppresses part but whatever the smart man says - goes!
Interesting idea but due to all the possible clutter I would stick with one detector. V1 or BEL STi
