I have to choose by friday, either X50 blue OR RX65??????

ahhh this is driving me crazy, i had the RX65 before and got the self cal message within 3 days of use. but i hear that its best for KA band and i like the fact that you can turn the volume up and down with the smartcord. the voice is cool but i dont need it. also heard its easier to program

edit:i had an RX65 6.1 and it started giving me problems after 3 days

X50 Blue, first of all its BLUE COME ON!! second... ITS BLUE lol. um i never had an X50 so i dont know whats good about it. less faulty units maybe? oh and i heard that the X50 ramps up better? is this true?

and price doesn't make a difference to me because my girlfriend is buying it for me, and she going overseas for a month,(we live in houston texas)

I bought an X 50 and while I have never used an RX 65, I have had only the best expierence from my X 50.... The ramping up and down is great, it gives a good indicator to distance to the radar source...... Even today I got a k band chirp and it started to ramp up and i couldn't see the cop at all, and thoguht it must be the atuo doors on the nursing home i was passing by, nope, it was a cop comnig up a hill that I hadn't seen, The x 50 gave me such god range that I thought it was falsing

my favorite bit on the x 50 is the multiple signal tracking, in the last few days I've encountered two or three sneaky cops in areas with usuall falses, the Expert mode saved me.....

Either one you choose is a great product

Look i have used both i now use the Rx65. Mostly becuase i like the look of it more. Even though the blue LED is nice. If i were you i would just pick one you wont be disapointed either way.

doesnt the Bel rx65 cost like $100 more or something too? just for the Vg2 detection immunity or something like that? i would go with x50 blue

RX-65 is $10 CHEAPER than the X50 Blue.......... theyre both VG2 IMMUNE, and neither detects VG2, thats a Cobra and Whistler thing.......

I would choose the X50, ive had my good ol Blue for a year, I put it through the wringer in terms of temperature abuse, and still no problems

the only one about 100 bucks more than X50 Blue (340) is the STI at 450, dunno if it gets Ku, but I think it does.............. V1 sits right in between at 400

I have owned both the x50 and rx-65 and the only difference really

If ka-band is your main threat than the RX-65
If k-band primarily than the x50

Both RD's arnt bad on KA band but with my personal experience and recent test results the rx-65 is the way to go!

Also as for the calibration needed was mainly a problem with the old version. The 6.1 has new hardware and antennas. While i had the rx-65 rev 6.1 i ran into NO errors.

As for me durring christmas im going to give the STi a try.
