Default Person told me I must be unsafe because I use a detector!

I was in a parking lot today, getting in my car minding my own business when this old lady near me told me I must be an unsafe driver because of the fact I have an rd. She caught me off guard and I told her she needs to go back to the bingo hall and take off her coke bottle glasses. Where do these people come from folks?

I think they think that we are the typical teenage punks that think we know everything and that they are saving us from an impending doom. When actually having an RD helps. Just my two cents.

Next time, tell her she's probably a dangerous driver because her reflexes have slowed and her muscular control is deteriorating and her vision is going down hill and she farts dust.

Don't forget about how old people lose their peripheral vision and get tunnel vision and they forget which pedal is for gas and which one is for brakes.

I just would have told her the statistic: There is a 1/6th less of a chance of a person who admits to speeding or has a radar detector to get in a car crash.

Then I would probably brag about never getting in a crash in my life and then asking her how many times she has gotten in a crash. 8)

Of course, no one is ever going to go up to me and tell me I'm a bad driver because of my rd's location. It is above my rvm, and I had a full conversation with a police officer last month. I showed him my car and was explaining things give him a run around and so he looked on all the corners of my car. Either, 1) he didn't see my rd or 2) did and didn't show that he saw it. I watched his eyes closely. I'm sure unless you specifically look where i have it then it will not be seen.

Maybe you should hard wire your rd?
