Any idea what the price will be? Is it supposed to be more sensitive than the x50-service required.

To me the redlight location function in the Cobra is not very exciting at all, since I already have a garmin that can do that. In addition, unless such a system allows frequent USB computer syncing for new locations its useless.

Really the main feature I'd want from GPS is false supression via learning. So that finally I don't have to hear the same damn cvs all 5 times a day I drive by it.

    I agree with lordhamster.

I too have a GPS with all my Red Light Data programed into it.
like he stated if you can't up date the locations with your computer
the GPS function will be useless.

If the GPS function can be updated, NavAlert will have some
    strong competition.

I just called customer service with escort and the guy was very reluctant to talk about the 9500i, but he said there would be a press release tomorrow at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas. He did say one thing that was very interesting:

THERE IS NOT A PERFORMANCE INCREASE IN THE NEW DETECTOR, but there is something that is really cool that makes it different from the x-50.

He actually offered to talke my number and call me tomorrow and discuss everything about it.

He also said they were trying for a February release but it could be March.

Well that is ok news. You see an X50 that meets Escort's highest specs (a low manufactured variance unit) performs VERY well.

Personally I want detection, it sounds like the feature he was withholding was the waste of time/money: GPS. (Unless the feature does something we haven't thought of).
