Well as far as the passports the ones you listed are not made anymore.
The only Passports you can get at this time is the (8500 X50) and the (9500i).
If your leaning towards an escort I would buy the X50.
The Whistlers you have listed are good detectors as well.
I would choose the Pro 73 if you go Whistler.
One more thing, DO NOT BUY OFF EBAY !!!!!!!!
You will get Scammed. A lot of members on this
board have had really bad experience with old products
being sold as new.

yes i know they're old but i don't NEED the lastest and greatest. I have a 7500 and a 73 coming and i can only afford one. I have the op to get the others if they're much better. I just don't know how 1 compares with the others and would like to know before making a choice. Thanks for the help.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that those escorts are 9 years old
and to stay away from ebay.
As far as sensitivity:
1. Whistler Pro-78
2. Passport 7500S (Same platform as the Escort Solo S2, should perform similar)
3. Whistler Pro-73
4. Passport 5000 & 7500 (same platform, similar performance)

I concur on the original 7500. Owning one of those is what spurred me to finally buy a V1. Its Ka band range was sub-par, to say the least.
