I think that page was created a bit before this whole sabatoge thing came out.

With that said... isnt it funny how VR only has the tests that shine a nice light on the V1 not to mention how OUTDATED they are?

Yeah, Belscort is a business just like VR.

Looks like they redesigned their website.

    Check out the technical information.

They describe moving (mobile) radar as having a radar gun under the car to obtain the patrol speed. Really? Would there not be an extra antenna then?

This was the story they told me about the CA CHP cars, not their bike units.

I aksed them why I was getting a 1-2 bar showing on the 9500i display when a CHP car was tailing me (~30' behind me). I was attributing it to the ramp-up "problem" where it goes from 1-2 bars to full in most cases, much as what they have on site.

Then I recall the same thing happened on the x50 as well. That one went on for well over 30 miles. When he got beside me and finally passed it went off so I thought the forward pointing antenna was just not picking him up from the side - nor the back either when I was behind him.

Today I was using the x50 in Los Angeles and I didn't get any low readings around the CHP patrol cars even when they were behind me (I cut in front of one just to see). I don't get it. Also, no one was shooting Ka today, almost like they had a "No radar" day. Not even in pricey construction zone traps. Semi-trucks were flying too as if they knew something. Very bizzare going's on around there.

Fwiw, I cannot see how anyone - no matter what detector they have - can stand to have one on around the surface streets in LA. Everything is generating a signal in the X and K bands. Thank God it Auto-Mutes!

I talked about this not too long ago.

It should come as no surprise that if you go to this Beltronics link:

    http://www.beltronics.com/quotes.html

You will see that 4 of the 7 positive reviews came from radartest.com which is CP's misinformation dump and 2 came from Speed Measurement Labs. The last review came from the Georgia Tech Research Institute in a 2002 test that was funded by....drumroll please....Beltronics. Hmmmm, does anybody remember which 2 testing sites were under great scrutiny by the guysoflidar.com because of their questionable results, testing methods, and fudged data.

I just noticed that these 2 links are the same, one is old and one is new:

When the patrol car wants to clock the speed of a target vehicle, they use the stronger radar gun you may see mounted on the dash.
Yeah, clearly whoever wrote this was just pulling things out of their a$$!

I had never seen nor read anything like that before from BEL, so I was puzzled to say the least!
