I liked the voice on my Bel 550
would save me looking down to check what i was
wouldn't say "Ku band"

I figured it was a gimmick.
My friend used to love whenever my "caveman machine" falsed on K.
To me it was just annoying as it is time it could instead be giving me a regular beep and an idea of how strong the signal is. Things like that are just gimmicks.
Why couldn't they use a sexy British woman's voice?
Why not just go into Program and turn it off? That's what I did...Originally Posted by jwardell

Is that an option on the 980? I forget. I programmed it 5-6 years ago...Originally Posted by SmaartAasSaabr
It is an option on my 940 (older version-all black). Hated the voice at 1st, but procrastinated making the change to "No Voice" and now I like it. It actually does help. When music is on or windows down going within the posted speed limit ;-) the beeps can sound similar. The voice alert clears up any wrongs that my ears have done me with the beeps.Originally Posted by jwardell
