    Thanks, Tim.

We use the UK-style flat acetate plates with numbers on a reflective strip on the back. I'm considering a spray, or I may have a set of custom reflective plates made.

Anyone have any comments about the detector?
Reflective covers and sprays no longer work. Watch the test video by clicking the link below.

if they tamper with the photo to see the numbers it isnt valid in court as it is a tampered photo, most police still use film cameras for forensic photos so they cant be tampered with.

Hehe yeah I'm in HK too... I've tested the V1, X50, RX65... (not the new EUR V1, a regular V1). I found the X50 to have the longest Multanova detection range (photo radar), and made videos of it. Haven't tested the new "EUR" V1 so that may change things.

I did a group buy for about 40-60 X50s a while ago after ppl saw their effectiveness, and everyone is happy with them (even the guys that have V1s... so go figure), so you can't go wrong with an X50 unit.

There are ways you can tweak it further for photo radar detection, which I did some tests of a few days ago, and will have VIDEO PROOF that the tweaks work. This includes different mounting methods, etc. I can get about 20-30% more range out of the X50 with my tweaks... no one knows of them yet though, and until I make full/clear video documentation like I did with the X50 VS Photo radar, i'm not going to say anything more because people will doubt it hahaha

    Default Don't Work

Yes they still work, however the private contractors that run these cameras have been successful in some situtation when they reverse the polarity of the image to bring out the plate. I was present during this same interview that Chris points out (SML 1/2005) and tried to present our side, but that was never aired.

Anyway, the days of the covers are short lived, example Washington DC recently passed a law that fines users of these covers $500.00!

The Photo Jammer was tested this past weekend at SML, and I had stated earlier, was very skeptical, but it did work during testing. After recovering from shock, Carl Fors gave the product his blessing (the pope of radar)

    yo i'm also from HK.

Once u get at ticket here, theres really nothing much you can do about it.

I just got a Rocky Mountain radar, still testing it, dunno if its good or not but i think the X50 escort model is better.

If you can speak chinese, i suggest you get a walkie talkie that can tune into the taxi radio stations, they always announce where all the active speed cameras are, but those won't warn you against the camera cage boxes.

Yep, we all agree there, id suggest you sell your RMR on ebay and buy a V1, X50 or RX65, you will be better protected.
