    Default Training Videos

Now that I have more time on my hands I'm really looking forward in doing some of the things I really enjoy doing and that is teaching!

RadarBusters was founded back in 1998 as a vehicle for me to provide information on how radar detectors and police radar guns worked, while also doing product testing.

From my reviews, I picked the "cream of the crop" and offered them for sale on our website.

Now that my role has shifted in the industry, I'm going to go back to my roots, and attempt to provide our radar detector community with the best reviews and instructional material to the RD community.

Last week I spent several days in Atlanta learning about podcasting and video rendering. I'm still waiting for some equipment to come in so I can do new videos, but I thought I would introduce the membership to my ideas and render an older video today and post it online on my blog, www.RadarRoy.com.

This first Blog video show me in action with a Spectre RDD sniffing out a Cobra radar detector that was in a van.

If you have any ideas for video content that you may want to see, I would ask that you PM me and I'll take a private poll and then publish the material for all.

I would also appreciate any comments and/or suggesting on my first embedded video in my blog:

Excellent video, roy. This really impresses me actually, as most other RDD videos I've seen posted here, the RDD is going off all over the place and seems very noisey and innacurrate. Yours was dead silent even with plenty of passing traffic, till that van went by.
My only question: how do you know it was a cobra?

I'm sure he could see it was a cobra when he passed the van they are fairly distinct looking.

Just saw the video...I liked it a lot, very cool. That system of just pointing the box until you get the strongest signal, then chasing whatever vehicle it was pointed it...that kinda suprised me. I thought it would be a little more high-tech than that

One thing though, unless I'm really missing something..."SPEC-tray"? Errr, "Spectre" is the British spelling of "Specter", and they're pronounced the same. Namely, "SPEC-ter". Kinda grates on the ears :? On the other hand, if the company that makes them is just really weird and actually named it "SPEC-tray", then just ignore me

Flitzservice.nl from Holland was with us when we shot the video and we made one slow pass in two lanes and clearly saw it was a Cobra. However, during that part someone said it's a *&%$# Cobra, not good for video.

Also hanging around those guys for a week with their accent, threw me off, I started speaking like them

Awesome, can't wait to see more videos. I loved the one you have on your site about hardwiring a detector, I have sent many people interested in doing it themselves that link.

That happens to me when I spend time in the UK, I start talking like them. I haven't been there in over a year and I can STILL be heard shouting "Bollocks!" and "Bugger that!" once in a while.

Nice Video Roy, thanks for sharing!

Do you know if the spectra II will send the whistler XTR units into VG2 mode?
