I would say so, I miss my X50 terribly I don't have any experience with an rx65, but I can certainly vouch for the X50 as being an awesome detector.

You asked the same/similar questions in the Escort forum. You've looked at the GOL results. The two are close in detection range with the RX-65 having a slight advantage in Ka, but it has been said the X50 has the advantage with K-band. Why not just use the X50 for a while to see if you can encounter some real world Ka band and compare it to your Ka experiences with the RX-65.

Both the RX-65 and the X50 are fine detectors. You're a lucky guy to have both of what are considered to be the top 3-4 detectors on the market. I wish I could have one as a backup. I am still waiting to get my X50 in the mail.

    I'd take x50 over rx65 any day.

I completely trust my x50 its saved me more times than I can count. And I can vouch the K-band range is awesome. I recommend the x50 100%.
