Default 1st cross state...still got nabbed!!...grrrr AIRPLANE COPS

I love my Bel 940. It works amazing! One obvious thing it doesn't work for, which I was rudely reminded of, is AIRPLANE COPS!

Driving through Missouri, a group of us "10 over clubbers" were all huddled in a pack, when a bunch of patrol cars fly down an entrance ramp and pull us all over! I was told that there was an airplane in the area clocking speeds, resulting in a 12 over PSL ticket for yours truly. The worst part is that I set the cruise at 80, preventing the temptation to put the lead on the pedal, and I still got nabbed!

    How frustrating!

Anybody else have this unfortunate event happen to them? :x

Years ago I had that happen to my friend outside banff park in alberta, they had a roadblock ahead waiting for all the cars they tagged earlier.

That's just ridiculous. If everyone's going 80mph, who the hell cares.

If you're going 80mph and everyone else is going 65mph, that's one thing. Or if everyone's going 80+ in a 65mph zone... that's another.

But if the majority of people are going ~80mph on a major, non-congested, interstate, then pulling you guys over is uncalled for. What kind of road were you on?

Another example of how the law is the law, regardless of how illogical it may seem. That's why whenever I sense a hint of trouble I'll slow down to the PSL and shift over to the slow lane.

Most people I know call me overparanoid and racial stereotypes for this, but I do it for good reason: I don't want a ticket

Sounds like the bonus check for the LEO at the end of the month quota will be nice

    ^ +1.

Ohio has those tell-tale bars, too.

They're always worth slowing down for.

I see them in PA all the time, in the back of mind I am always thinking one day I am going to get nailed. I do get a stiff neck from time to time from looking up

The ones in VA drive me nuts, it feels like there every 1/4mi for hundreds of miles. I never see plains though.
I will be going to NC from CT in a few days so I hope there are no plains and it looks like I won’t be able to use my 9500i for some of the trip, stupid Sepctre…
