Default Best Radar Detector for michigan

I’m looking to buy the best radar detector for where I live. I’m not sure if they are legal in Michigan? I’m looking to spend top dollar for something that fits my needs best.
i like the 9500i a lot but im also considering the v1... But im not sure if these work in Michigan?
    What do you guys recommend?

I’m new to this forum and this is my first post (I failed the registration picture test thing like 5 times). Please let me know if im going about asking this wrong.

    Thanks for the help!!!

Why is the 9500 so much more expensive than the V1?

I would like to get the one with the most warning time. The best use i would get out of it is night driving with oncoming traffic.

i think 9500 comes with an GPS that you can choose to mute forever a certain fake signal, then when you pass by again in that place it wont signal you,.

But i don´t think that the detection is better than V1.

Maybe some more experiencied people around here can help you with their opinion

    I'd go with a V1.

    Most warning time = V1

Michigan cops primarily use moving K/Ka band. Any of the top 3/5 will do great, and in addition, the affordable Whistler XTR-690/Pro-78's will do great in Michigan too....

Overall cops here are pretty lax in targeting, either moving or stationary constant-on.

They are legal in Michigan but I am not sure about laws concering windshield mounting. Dont think you can there.

V1 definitely gives better detection range and the 9500I is definitely quieter with GPS true loc, marc location and speed sensitivity. The only 2 RD's I would want are the V1 and the 9500I two different ends of the spectrum but both have there place.

You can try them both and decide for your self.

Check out post to see some of the + & - of the 9500I:
