The black Lidar with blue writing on the sides sounds like an Ultralyte.

It could have been an Ultralyte. Does anyone know if they use those in AL?

The 33.8 I saw was in TN I believe, but I'll have to think about it as I am still a bit punchy from the trip. (heh) I just got back about 2hrs ago.
What part of TN?...And you are lucky, the troopers around where I live use ONLY IO Ka, and they are very selective with it, and they literally hide in the bushes in the median's ...then again, that was around the holidays

They seem to like CO in most of the south, which is a nice change from the radar nazi's of IL. I did see some IO Ka in Kentucky today! But I swear guys I am going to have some nightmares about the laser encounter!! My heart jumped out of my chest when I saw that laser gun raise to target me!
Where at in KY did you come across the IO KA????

I actually did notice some troopers hiding off on the sides of the road in the bushes/trees. I kept thinking it looked like a good place to hit someone with IO. Lucky for me I didn't get tagged with any.

No it was a family trip and I didn't want to embarrass my family with all the dumb stuff that I KNOW I would have recored! I was really kicking myself though because some of the range I was seeing was really great from both detectors. Also, the NUMBER of radar encounters was very very high! I could have release a DVD!

Lol, yeah it would have been nice but i understand.
Its bad enough if they know about this website already huh...lmao
