Question about Bands & Falses

So I've been driving with my x50 for about 2 weeks now and the only warning I've gotten that was LEO related was one of those "check your speed" trailers the cops leave on the side of the road. I've gotten used to some falses in my town caused (I'm guessing) by radar operated doors. Some of them are very predictable now.

My question is about a visit I paid to the local Food Lion grocery store the other night. It was late and there were very few cars in the parking lot, I noticed as I was leaving that I was picking up very strong X and K band signals. I looped around the lot a couple of times and it was definitely being caused by their auto-opening doors. I just thought that was strange to catch two strong signals like that on different bands from the same doors. What's up with that?

A local groceri store I go sometime have the same, the main Buillding (witch is newer) is using K-Band door, but in the back of the store, there is there storage eara and it is using X-Band..

Interesting, I never considered that. The x50 tells me both signals are very strong when the car is pointed at their front doors. I was thinking maybe they had to replace hardware on one of the doors at sometime and used different equipment.

I noticed that at one of the supermarkets where I live, the entrance doors are the wide two-sliding open doors with the small motion detector (K-band)

Then there's the exit door which is a small one-door swinging outward type which has a big rectangular sensor (x-band)
