KAT is the new line of detectors from the same idiots that made the RMR. That in itself should explain everything.

So is KAT just an RMR without (supposed) "jamming" capabilities? Or is it supposed to jam, too?

I'm not an KAT expert, but I think they claim to have one that "supposedly" jams laser. I don't know if they have any units that "jam" radar.

Remember, this RMR disguised as another unit.

    RMR=KAT=POS

Just wanted to let you know that everyone is correct, KAT
is Rocky Mountain Radar trying to hide behind another name.
Most people now have found out that RMR detectors are
junk and can NOT jam Laser or Radar..... Even their
    detectors are bad.

So now they changed their name so they can still sell their terrible
products and won't be associated with the RMR name.

    Check this out.....

Also, This is some reading that you may want to do.
This is roy's site on how Passive Jammers such as
    RMR do not work.

Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong. I've seen the C450 tested a bunch of times , including this past weekend up at Alpine's. It is totally deaf to Ka, and I wouldn't trust it with my licence on K band.

Here is a Rocky Mountain Radar RMR-C450 Test.

Don't let people tell you that Radar Trailers
are different from Real Police Radar, they are NOT.
This is something that Rocky Mountain Radar made
up when angry customers called up saying that
their RMR Jammer wouldn't Jam Speed trailers.

The order states that RMR and Mr. Churchman must make payment within 30 days or the matter will be forwarded to the United States Department of Justice for collection.

In visiting RMR’s website today, I found it interesting that they are now “featuring” their new K.A.T. (Kick Ass Technologies) radar detectors over their own RMR line and then knocking down price of their RMR-C450 by $100.00.

Also when visiting many of RMR dealer websites today that have previously been cited by the FCC, I found that many have either removed RMR’s products or have completely shut down.

Seems that the days of Churchman’s snake oil are numbered…..
Wow, looks Rocky Mountain Radar has caved.
Notice the description of this device: http://www.radar-detector-superstore...radewpeme.html.
It says the KAT "scrambles Laser" but it makes no mention of radar scrambling. The Rocky Mountain Radar site doesn't come up anymore, either.
    Is it over?
