First, it only detected K-band as Ka unless we aimed it at about a 30 degree angle.

BAM! We got a speed reading of something like 112 mph. Which is BRILLIANT because, while certainly high enough to get you arrested, it's also low enough to be BELIEVABLE. If it just made the radar gun say "4328043 mph" then the LEO would say "My gun is broken." But when it makes the radar gun say "100+ mph", the LEO says "I'm gonna arrest that sum*****."
Is that genius, or what?
Maybe it wasn't mounted correctly :wink:Originally Posted by JDS

CLASSIC!
Now maybe the officer would see ELVATO in his big fat truck and say "Nah, must me a malfunction."
But in a little black sports sedan? Hell no. I'd be in handcuffs.
Naw, they wouldn't arrest you. I mean, they visually estimate your speed each and every time they "clock" a car, right. Oh wait...
If it weren't for all that air in front of my car, I could easily do 134Well, that and maybe my gearing...

Also, on the subject of doing 134, I kind of want to go out there on Krome Avenue at night some time when it's empty and do a top speed run on my car. The only problem is that it's so poorly lit and my headlights are such crap, I'd be too uncomfortable driving at night on Krome, especially at high speed. Gotta convince the county to put streetlights in...
